The MDB5/EPS-EPB metal detector is provided as an economical installation for the inspection of a wide range of products for hazardous or harmful ferrous and non-ferrous tramp metal.

The equipment essentially comprises of a small MDB5 control unit housing the electronics and a flat search coil of the type EPS or EPB.

The small and compact EPS search coil is available in standard sizes ranging from search/belt width 100-600mm and is ideally suited for the plastics industry or applications with limited space availability.

The slightly larger EPB search coil again is similarly available in a range of standard sizes for search/belt widths from 300-1200mm and is intended for larger bulk applications or where increased sensitivity is required.

For higher sensitivities and under certain operational conditions it is possible to utilise the EPS or EPB search coil with the higher specification MDB8 control unit which has the advantage of increased sensitivity and providing additional features.

Easy and simple to install and operate and provides a good solution to applications which tend to have lighter or shallower depths of conveyed products or where only the larger sized pieces of tramp metal are required to be detected.

The MDB5/EPS-EPB metal detector is ideally suited to applications such as plastics, reclaimed plastic bottles, tops and tails, sprues and small mouldings etc...
